I'm am looking for a counselor or therapists or a student majoring in psychology that I can intellectually share psychology concepts, theories, teachings&studies with.I am very open minded and eager to learn new things. I have almost used up all of my resources here at home and in my public library .I want to be challenged and even sometimes expect to debate on theories and such. But I warn you I myself may challenge you. I always love a healthy debate. And I know I have many times I have lost in debate. But I have also been forced to open my mind and change my belief. "And what a gold nugget I was gained."

Because a mind is a terrible thing to waste.

Smilie : I'm looking for a relationship of psychology debate......

I agree, a mind is terrible thing to waste..

I wouldn't say Im the best at debating, my argument skills definately need work. Another thing I could learn and work on. But I love to discuss psychology concept, theories, and studies. I just wrote a paper on Steele's Stereotype Threat, I dont really have the time to elaborate (i have to renew my licence), but I swear with a little more time and experience like maybe 2 or 3yrs more time and experience I could have proved part of that wrong. I believe (with good reason) that Individuals dont necessarily have to be identified with the domain to experience Stereotype Threat.

Well that was my idea anyhow..If you would like to talk more about anything psych related (or anything at all for that matter) I would certainly take that as a great opportunity to continue learning psychology or get to know you either way!!!

Maybe for a lack of a better word I chose debate, but perhaps it is more of discussion and sharing. My best friend and boyfriend I am sure with these topics have become bored. But this just entreats me and holds my utmost attention.I don't think I am familiar with this Steel's stereotype threat can you brief me on it. I also plan to look it up. Thanks for a new topic.Would you like to tell me your opinion about it?

Have you studied on dissociation or enmeshment? I find I know very little on these subjects. Smilie
