I planned to go to a Christmas party with my boyfriend on 12/15/16. We were planning this at least two weeks ago. That was before we knew the temps where we live would be freezing cold. The temps were in the 20s. Wind chill made it feel like in the single digits.

I don't drive. I agreed I would walk six blocks to the train and he'd pick me up and drive me to the party. The event was about ten miles from the train stop. I'll explain. He was suppose to meet me at the end of the line. I willingly agreed to that
I began to rethink meeting him with the thought of walking in the ice cold air. I called and told him if he didn't pick me I wouldn't go to the place.

The problem is he tried calling me 3 times on my cell phone. Didn't hear it ring. I just presumed he'd call on my landline. He usually calls me on it.
Now I'm very concerned how I could be such a doofis and not realize he'd call on my cell. I'm really worried about our relationship. Is my post clear enough to understand I'd be grateful for feedback Thanks.

I am surprised people still have landlines.

Frankly 20f isn't that bad, we have it in single digits right now. You can dress warm and walk 6 blocks (unless you gave health reasons for not walking). I really don't undetstand the issue. My daughter doesn't drive but she also doesn't complain about walking. Is there a reason you can't walk 6 blocks?

I can understand you not wanting to walk in the cold. Is there a reason he can't pick you up. Doesn't seem like that would be a big problem. Surely he can understand.

The wind chill made it seem in the lower signle digits. I'm glad you think 20f isn't that bad. Nothing against you. I just happen to disagree. Walking 6 city blocks I can usually walk in warmer weather. Oh let's say higher than freezing. Forgot to mention in my post a family physician (a past primary) diagnosed me with chronic bronchitis. Going on for decades. Its good your daughter doesn't complain about walking. Please remember everyone is an individual. To me your saying if X can do it then everyone can do it. Yes some of us old fogies still own a landline. Gasp!!! How quaint.

Obviously he knew weather was going to be nasty... Weather reports are fairly accurate.

Why didnt you two make plans for him to pick you up. ??

I did ask what is the reason for not walking 6 blocks and if you have health concerns. Sorry if I upset you, I just asked. I have no ways to know your age or health concerns and that's why I asked.

I hope you asked your boyfriend for a ride nicely, then I don't see why would it effect relationship?

. But I guess you missed the party as it was yesterday and you still don't know what's happennng in your relationship? Have you ever call him back and what is the status of your relationship now? The whole situation seems confusing. You worry about your status of your relationship because of pick up versus walking. It seems to be a minor issue. Is your relationship fragile? Are their other issues?.

Sorry for not replying until now. Somehow got disconnect to the net. Didn't get on until close to midnight.

Please forgive me for being harsh with you. I did ask him for a ride but he never got my message. Figured our relationship is fine since we made plans to see each other. No prob you asking. I presumed you weren't psychic.
