I feel like I can't relate to the opposite sex, like I have nothing in common. It makes me feel anxious as a result when around them as I don't know what to say. It bothers me because I want to have male friends but then when I talk to them I feel overwhelmed what can I do to improve this? Am I worrying about something that can be easily fixed by over thinking?

Your profile message under your name says that you enjoy music and art. These are two topics you could discuss with guys, right?

I find that there are universal topics that are easier for guys to talk about. Music, movies, and of course, sports. (Not to sound stereotypical or anything.)

Could you share some of your interests with us? I'm willing to bet that you have a number of interests that would allow you to connect with guys.

Hugs.

It sounds like you've got quite a few interests that you'd be able to talk to guys about.

Do you get anxious around guys in general? It can be hard when you first meet someone because you're not always sure of the right thing to say.

Sometimes it just takes a lot of practice so that you're not so anxious anymore. If you do get anxious, maybe you could play it off in a funny way. Chances are that you're going to meet other people who are anxious around new people, too. I think that if you could bring some humor to the situation, it might make everyone feel a bit at ease.
