After years of just staying at home, I've decided to try and get help for my issues and build my life up again. I'm seeing someone tomorrow who can maybe help me get the ball rolling. The thing is, I'm scared to death the people I go to for help won't listen to me! That they'll just try to ram their own opinions and views down my throat.
Just needed to share this.. |

I only say this because I don't want you to go into this with an unjustified bias and expecting the worst. In reality though, there are typically a number of therapists that don't work the way we want or have methods we don't agree with but the good news is, that there are many others that will help you. If it doesn't work out, it's not the end, you can keep looking for a T that works for you. You're not stuck with the first one you find. Hope this helps. |
