My friend was trying to book me and him a show to play at a festival, he said the person only wants to book him. He said the person told him my music was too edgy and that my friends music would fit with all ages but that mine was too edgy. I don't even know what that means. I tried looking up "edgy music" and can't seem to find any examples. What are some songs that are considered "edgy music" what does edgy music even mean?

My daughter is a musician. Her music fits lots of clubs and family friendly venues.

Her friend ... he has a rock/ questionable lyrics kinda deal ... So many places she plays he would never fit what the club/ shows wants, where as she can.

So maybe if you explain what kinda music your performing versus his?

Possibly questionable lyrics? Or no lyrics?

I'd say punk in general is more "edgy" than alternative music.
