All my life I suspected my parents were keeping a huge secret from me and it took me a long time to figure it out on my own, but they were dropping hints.

Yes I did, but it wasn't the same as your secret I don't think.
And in our case they definitely did not want us to know. But my family was a dysfunctional train wreck so...you know.

Sort of and even though I asked my parents for both sides of the story, my dad made it sound like he knew very little about it. I told my mom what my dad said and she said he's lying and being a hypocrite, but also she got really upset because I mentioned it to her.
