How do you express to a guy you like them and accept that they like you back without having the confidence they desire you to have?

Honestly. What they want is what they want not what you should have. Exploring that desire could be interesting.

What sort of desire for you to have confidence have they expressed to you?

I'm not entirely sure how to answer this but it does seem like you're complicating things and overthinking it.

If you like a guy and he likes you, then show it.

If he wants you to be something that you're not, that's a separate issue to but really doesn't affect the idea of expressing your feelings toward him.
Thanks for this!
