I've stayed alive solely for my daughter for 17 years. She is about to leave for college 2 hours away and has decided to live with her dad part-time. I'm in so much pain that we're fighting a lot and I'm losing my purpose for living. Any advice would be appreciated.

Children are reason enough to keep us going even when it seems we almost can't.

I'm sure that the whole idea of her moving so far away is not easy and the fact that she's going to be living with her dad part time.

You need to find something to invest some of your energy into that you would normally take if she was living closer. I'm not sure what kind of activities would interest you but I think it would make you feel worse if you were sitting around doing nothing during those times.
