My friend is 19 im 17 she won't stop calling me screwed up and retard because i'm not just like her

She calls me that because i don't know how to drive or own a car or my own place to live yet. She's and her parents pay her $500 a week even though she doesn't work with their company anymore, they bought her a car and a apartment yet she has another job and makes $350 a week yet she calls me names because i don't have any of that its really not fair that she has to call me those names. I currently cant do anything because I don't have an ID and when i tell jobs i don't have one and that i don't have transportation they decline me and i live in the south and i am 15 miles from all jobs and thats a 5 hour walk and the bus is 48 miles from me i have no help idk if she's normal ornot

Well certainly she isn't your friend. Friends don't act like this. Why are you expected to be on your own and work and own cars at 17? Are you still in school? She wants you to have your own place st 17? That's a bit out there. Ton of people don't drive. But you can get state ID, if you just need an ID. Stay away from this girl, she isn't your friend.

Shoot, I graduated high school when I was 17. I had a car to drive but work in Los Angeles in the neighborhood I lived in wasn't available & I focused my goal on getting my college degree & figuring out what I really wanted to do with my life so I stayed living at home. I later got a skill that paid for my college & worked but we are able when the time is right.

Sort of a catch 22 if you can't drive & all work is far away from you. Sounds like it might be time to just start thinking about some solutions....but it takes time for things likebthatbto come together.

That person calling you names sounds like a spoiled brat to me so she has no right to be calling anyone names. When you are 19 you will be in a different place than you are now. I remember growing up I always wanted to be ahead of where I was actually capable of being. Your time will come when your life comes together. I would hate to have a car payment at that age or having to pay rent or mooching off my parents to have the money for that.

You are just fine where you are at for this point in time in your life & looking for nicer more caring friends who aren't so materialistic & who have such a feeling of entitlement that they push their values on others.
