I've dated online and that chilvary is almost dead. I found one guy total gentleman from match. Open my door, pull my chair, order my food, put my jacket on and off and pulled my hair out, very attentive and protective of me.... So much so he didn't like me talking to the opposite sex unless he was blood related. So even that didn't turn out too good. I got rid of all male friends and he kept all his female friends.
Before him, I would get ppl like that, ugh. Sending pics of their shallow self. Smh
Thanks for this!

Well, I didn't start this thread to bash anyone. At first it was me being overly self conscious about my body and then deciding to go on a date. The whoas of online dating have been discussed ad nauseum on other threads here.

I was hoping this other guy I've been chatting with for a couple of days now would ask me out, but he hasn't yet. Although he sort of has asked me, it hasn't been specific yet. Oh well. And the cute guy I was chatting with last night (not the one I went out with) hasn't responded to me all day, which is unusual. Oh well. Ghosting ftw.

To be clear, I'm not sending these pics. I receive them. I'm feeling a little bit judged here,.to be honest.

To get back to your original post...good for you for saying screw it and going out regardless of body consciousness. I don't know that I would be that brave. Sorry this one didn't work out. Hopefully the other cute guy will get back to you soon. This has been an interesting thread.
Thanks for this!
