I have some cousins, and a few friends who ignore me when I try to talk to them, but when they contact me wanting to see what's up and how I am I usually reply... if you were in this situation would you stop replying and ignore them like they ignore you?

It seems weird that they'd contact you if they wanted to ignore you. Any idea of why that happens? Perhaps you could ask them this.

It kinda confuses me because when I contact them I get no reply but months later they sometimes will message me or something. I'm not sure why it happens though...

Im confused, what i am reading is that they do contact you, it doesn't sound like they ignore you. Sometimes people just get busy with their lives, school, work, ect....
Speaking from personal experiance i have family&friends who i don't hear from for MONTHS i don't ever take it personally because i do the exact same thing!

If you are really concerned about it though perhaps speak with them?

Do you mean, when you want to do something they are always busy, or don't bother replying.
But, when they want to do something you always end up going along?

Or do you mean something else?

There's really no reason you should deliberately ignore someone as long as you actually want to contact them.

I would suggest instead just asking them why they ignore you sometimes.

It's really a tough call, isn't it? It seems find to reply or ignore them as you feel like doing in the moment. I find it hard not to reply but would prefer to ignore people who ignore me, if that makes sense.

I agree you should ask them. Obviously they want to be in contact with you or they wouldn’t be contacting you.

At least they contact you back. There are some who don't do that, either.

I think you need to have a conversation with them and find out of there is a reason for there actions.
