Just a question, is it ok to be alone forever? As in single?
I've always been happiest when I am alone, with minimal contact from friends or family and when I don't have a partner. But people say that being alone is weird and that I was avoiding relationships when I was by myself. I guess I've just never really liked people. I'm not a people person. Random question I know but Im interested to hear opinions on this.

Hello. Welcome to PC. There is nothing wrong with you. There are many more extroverts than introverts and they are trying to fit you into their little square definition of how people should behave. I grew up in a family of extroverts and know how frustrating this can be when people think you’re weird for not being a people person. I’m not a people person myself and although I was married for 20 years, I prefer being single. You be you. You’re just fine.
Thanks for this!

Your fine, there is nothing wrong with you and don't let yourself by other people's judgements of how they feel themselves.
I spent 8 years single Nd my mother always insisted that I couldn't be happy in myself if I did

It's perfectly fine to be single. Some people are more introvert than others.
