So theres this girl... She's the first person I've ever really loved, and I'm so glad I can call her mine. She helps me through everything and I couldn't be more thankful that she's my girlfriend. She and I have been together for a month or so now. But my dad seems content on breaking us up. He found out about us by reading through my texts, and proceeded to say that he was fine with me being gay but turned off my texting, and will not let me talk to her outside of school. It really annoys me. I guess really the point of this is do you guys think he has a point or is just being controlling? He has done some pretty controlling things in the past and idk if this is reasonable or one of those things he does.

Why was he reading through your texts? Both my kids have mobile phones and it's not my business to read through their text messages with their friends - to me that's a private conversation. I think he's overstepped the privacy mark.
