I’ve been in relationships since I was a teenager, I always had a boyfriend, and if I didn’t I’d be looking for one. Recently I broke up with my long term boyfriend and since then for the first time in my life I love being alone which is great for me. The strange thing is though I have absolutely no desire for the opposite sex at all anymore. Even if someone extremely attractive approached me I wouldn’t be interested at all. I’ve gone from one extreme to the other and I can’t understand it. Maybe it’s because I really just need to be alone? I guess I’m worried my desire for the opposite sex won’t come back.. just wondered if anyone has experienced anything similar?

Well, you don't have to be engaged in a relationship to be happy. If you don't want to, you're doing the right thing. For how long have you been feeling like this? Perhaps it's only temporary.

What has it been like for you to be alone for these several months? What have been the advantages and the disadvantages?

May I be so bold as to ask how old you are? The older I get, the less use I have for sex. I never was "hot" really to begin with.
