How do you ask someone who stands way to close to you when she talks, or even stands over you, to step back? And how can you ask her to stop spitting when she talks? I'm tired of this person being in my personal space, spitting all over me, and wasting my time with long rambling monologues, but would like to handle this in the most appropriate non-infuriating way possible.

This hadn’t been resolved yet? Is this the same woman from months ago?
I would just kinda laugh and say Hey your in my space back up and you back away If that didn’t work I would pull her aside and ask her to please stop crowding you. But I’m a blunt kinda person Good luck

If she doesn't get it, I think it's a good idea to say something like, "I need personal space." Like if she questions you or asks you about it. You can be indirect (stepping away), or direct (talking to her about it, which it sounds like you're leaning towards this), or end the conversation all together. I would not comment on the spitting. That's just me personally. Do you have to interact with this person? |

I think she might be doing this on purpose to challenge me and if I say or do the wrong thing, she's going to escalate. She stands so close that she touches me, my keyboard was wet from her spitting while she talked, and she even farted while she stood there rambling. I think I'm going to tolerate her talking for only so long and then start working and half listening, then practically not listening. Then not listening in a preoccupied sort of way rather than a mean or emotional sort of way. This might work because she starts these awful monologues from across the room and moves in closer and closer until actually touching my shirt. Maybe I'll start ignoring her when she approaches the 2 foot mark. I just can't make her mad since she's in a position of power regarding my tenancy.
