Surgical update

Week three and I’m still wearing a brace. No pain and I can flex my elbow almost normally. Still not driving because with one arm it’s dangerous - this is my biggest complaint. My hand is still numb and hopefully that will turn around. Getting some weird twitches now and then. Concerned that my right arm will hold out - it’s doing big time overtime. I’m not going to kid you this limits your life so be prepared to endure the recovery. Also, I’m trying not to use my left hand - not easy. I’ve learned to sleep on my side with the brace - this is good because it gives me more options. Overall everything is okay.

I'm glad to hear you got that surgery over and done with. How soon before they will tell you it's okay to do without the brace?

Being limited to the use of one arm and one hand sounds like quite a challenge to me. I'm sure it will get tiresome and tiring. Take advantage of anyone who has offered you "a hand," so to speak. Eventually, this will all be behind you.

My husband had major surgery on his right shoulder and was in a sling belted around him so he wasn’t able to move it at all for 6 weeks. Bout drive him nuts. But he got through it and had so much physical therapy.

4 months later he had the left one done.

Workers comp injury. My husband went through hell.

I hope you continue to heal, yes one armed doing all the work is hard

So I was talking to the PT while she was massaging my arm - I said “three weeks to go and the brace comes off” - she said “we’ll see”.... I shots darts at her with my eyes - I want this torture device off my arm!!!!!! 😤😤😤

Sorry, Mac, that you'll be sportin that brace for awhile yet. Just hang in there. After all you went through, you want the best result possible. So stick with the program. One day, this will all be a fading memory.

I also need a tooth implant - I think the temporary fix the dentist did is coming loose... life I tell ya 😳😳😳

I've been looking into dental implants myself. Expensive. One implant is as expensive as a really fine piece of jewelry.
