Are they real ? Yes of course.

Having Bipolar together helps me to reach out for help to someone that knows exactly how I think and feel.

One from Cape Town South Africa actually saved my life after I talked about Xanax I took and she tracked down my husband , he was out working and he came home in a rush.

Yes I have online friends.

I also have friends I can physically touch they are great, they just cant understand Bipolar like my Bipolar friends do.

I don’t burden my friends in life with my Bipolar bullshytt.
I'm in Cape Town too, and would like to actually meet one or 2 people that understand me

I have more online friends, due to my hobby.

Of course, there are pitfalls in meeting people on social media. Haven't had any serious problems, just guys (some married) who occasionally push the boundaries.

I have made one very good friend online, through a hobby site. We have a strong connection and he's helped me free some demons that were beginning to take hold.

Meeting people face-to-face is far better but in the digital age, there's nothing wrong with online friendships as long as boundaries are set.

Yes, I've also laughed and cried....
