I was talking to a man and it was beautiful. I started panicking though after he asked me to give him 100 Dollars Within a 24 hour window. I feel like crap but I had not even met him in person yet. I had just started to talk to him. He claims I would have been given 5 times the amount asked $500. I felt like this was a scam and acted like it was so. He wouldn’t even tell me what kind of relationship he wanted with me straight. Did I do the right thing by not doing as he asked and kicking him to the side?

In my humble opinion yes you did the right thing. No one should ask you for money like that. Especially someone you have just started talking to. And telling you that you'd get $500 that just seems extra fishy to me.

Sorry you went through that

Absolutely you did the right thing. I have no doubt whatsoever that he was just trying to scam you.

Why feel guilty? That was brazen of him to even ask, in my opinion.

I feel guilty because I wouldn’t want to shame a person, but it hurts at the same time. I feel bad for people that scam.

why wouldn't you want to shame a person who clearly is someone that's out to use and manipulate others for monetary gain? calling out a person for the vile behavior they portray is not a bad thing, in fact this is the right thing to do and should happen more often. If more people would stand against this more at least it would make some of them think twice to try such things with others.

Saying No, is not shaming behavior.

You did the right thing. You never have to feel bad about saying no to anything that seems off or that you aren't comfortable with.
