My question is my depression and anxiety are always out of whack and I have this problem where I repeat names sometimes and their the names I dont want to remember, and last question is I got out of a relationship last year I feel like I am over them , because I have no attraction and I dont miss them but there name will pop up , and I like someone already and my mind is bringing up that name up and I dont want to screw it up , I really like this person and I dont want to jump in a relationship till I figure out what wrong with me but I feel this guy makes me happy and when I'm on dates with himI dont here the names or ex's on anything it only when I'm alone. idk what to do help

There is absolutely nothing wrong with you. People's names will pop up from your past for the rest of your life. That means absolutely nothing. Depending how long you have spent with any person, is the basis of how long it will take for you to truly get over them. I suggest you move forward with this new guy and let everything happen naturally. If it is truly meant to be, everything will work out perfectly. Don't try and rush things, just let them happen naturally. People of our past are just that, people of our past. As far as the depression and anxiety go, there is help there too, but I am not afflicted with either so I have no answers except google about them. Someone hopefully from the group will chime in and give to you the answers you are seeking, concerning them two subjects. Don't worry about repeating names neither. You are perfectly normal and life will get better as time goes by. Stay positive and think positive thoughts. Good luck to you sincerely.

Perhaps you're anxious about repeated patterns of your past? Especially with a new relationship in its early stages.

Here's a couple of articles that I found on rumination, which was the first word that came to mind.

8 Tips to Help Stop Ruminating

Are You Confusing Rumination with Problem-Solving?

Be gentle with yourself.
