I can very much relate to the thread re having been disappointed in a few online friendships.
I think that over the years I’ve grown as a bear and as a friend... at least I hope so.. But I still make mistakes sometimes. ![]() In the other thread here that I replied to I said how I try to own my part in any misunderstanding or disagreement with a friend. I also think that online friends are real friends... I do have several long term online friends who I value very much as personal friends. I have spoken to a couple of them on the phone, I feel that I know them as well as most irl friends I’ve had. So I’m not a “bad” friend .... But sometimes people do misread me. Not my true friends though, I’ve found. I would never hurt a friend or anyone intentionally. If I unintentionally say something hurtful I’d much rather someone told me. Then we could discuss it ... Anyway this is a ramble. I guess I’m working on my skills in relationships in general. There is that old saying that “hurt people hurt people” I’m grateful that isn’t always so. I know many people here who would never hurt anyone intentionally, Love and respect, Fuzzy ![]()
