How do I get it through to my husband I don't want visitors over because I am tired? I worked this weekend and Monday and it was a doozy.his mom came over on Friday which was okay but now she wants to come over today and have lunch. I just want to get some sleep, write my horrible pirate romance novel and decompress. Nope just spent the last twenty minutes cleaning the house again ( I get cleaning anxiety when people want to come over), had to brush my hair, put pants on, hide my craptastic writing and drawings ( I'm trying to do artsy things for anxiety) and just pray she doesn't say the house is a mess. Don't get me wrong she is a really nice person but I just want to have some peace and quiet today. That means no visitors. I have tried to tell him but he thinks I'm being unsociable and rude. One time I left the house because he kept inviting people over despite me saying I really needed a quiet day so I left for some peace and quiet ( and a little booze &#128521. When I do tell him he makes me feel like I'm asking too much and he gets upset. I'm about ready to invite people over at 3 am so he gets the point. Sorry for the rant....its not that I don't like your mom hon, I just need a day to recover socially. Sorry if I am being unreasonable.

Well it would bother me also.

Is it possible to sit him down and probably again have a heart to heart discussion about how you do need to have time for yourself ?? I’d really have to push push and push the issue until he understands I need and deserve to have “ me time”

Maybe telling him it would be nice if he took her out for lunch if he was insistent upon seeing her?? You can do your thing in peace.

I feel for you
