Friends,

Husband was painting a wall in our living room, and right when he was almost done fell off the step ladder. Fortunately, he seems to be all right. He injured his knee on our bushhog about three months ago. I think he fell because he knee gave out. This getting old isn't for sissys.

He was painting the wall red, so we had red paint all over the place, but fortunately no blood.

That's all from the Prairie for now,

EJ

Wow EJ....sorry to hear about hubby. Seems he's been having a difficult time lately (as well as you with your foot). It really stinks that we just can't seem to do the things we are so used to doing and not putting much thought into it....I guess now as we age...we need to think more about what we are doing eh?

Hope he feels better soon!!!

EJ! Sorry to hear your husband fell off the step ladder. The same thing happened to me when I was painting last year, and, though I thought I was okay, by evening I couldn't walk, and had to call a friend to bring me her walker! As Sabby says, we have to be more mindful of these things as we age. I bet he will be sore!

Sunrise,

A bush hog is an attachment to the back of a tractor that will cut down prairie grass.

Husband likes to push the envelope in what he can do.

Echoes, Perna, Patty, Sunrise, Bebop, and Sabby -

Thank you all for your expressions of concern.

Husband wouldn't let me put any ice on his knee, and was still walking around OK before bedtime.

Isn't it always scary when the spouse gets hurt? Mine cut his finger open once. Comes walking into the house holding his finger and telling me he cut himself. He was a little bit in shock. Blood doesn't bother me. I stayed calm cleaned it up and to look closer at it. Told him he'd need stitches. He didn't believe me. I finally convinced him. I took him to the hospital. They had to give him a numbing shot, right under the nail. I hate needles I had to wait outside the room. He was soooo brave. I just held my breath. But all was fine.
