I have a few good friends and interract with my coworkers but I've been on my own a lot of the time due to my various mental health issues and have recently found that I am more awkward and inarticulate when I"m just making conversation with people

For me it depends on who I'm speaking to. If I don't know the person that well, I probably come across as a bit awkward. If I'm speaking to my family etc then that's fine. I'm not much of a speaker.

I might have a bit of it too. I think most time I come off seeming unfriendly.
What kind of things do you say in conversations? When you say inarticulate, do you mean you have trouble finding the right words or pronouncing them clearly? I think a lot of people have issues withnsocial awkwardness and speaking. Maybe you just need to find your own crowd of people you have more in common with. |

I often can't find the right words to go with what I wanna say so I usually end up tongue tied and stammering nonsensically. I know I definitely come as as unfriendly when it usually more that I don't know what to say and thats been an issue with me for a long time.

I see. I guess I can sort ofnrelate because I tend to blurt out stupid things soemtimes under pressure. Have you tried imagining practice conversations and thinking of how you could respond to things coworkers might say?
