I am in a long distance relationship since July 2020. I love them but I don't think I can do it anymore. I need physical love and I can't get what I need from this relationship because they are so far away. I don't know what to do...
This overthinking just makes me sad and anxious.

Sorry you are faced with this decision. Long-distance relationships often find their way to question loyalty, interests, time-management and more. Time away from a partner can strengthen a relationship but can also challenge both your relationship with each other, and who you are as individuals. It is very possible people grow apart whether they live close or far away from each other.

I would make an effort to replace the comforting part of the relationship with something else comforting. Then decide how you feel about each other. How does your partner feel about what you're feeling?

What in the world is long distance relationship? Come on, it never works like that. You need the other party to physically be around you. That's the name of the game.

How much do you love this person? If you want to take the next step to physical love then you will need to have a serious discussion with your long distance partner about the possibility of moving whether it be you that will be doing the moving or your partner.

If you or your partner are unable to compromise on the idea of moving... then you may want to end this relationship, and focus on local instead of out of state.

I'm sorry but I have to strongly disagree with your statement. Long distance relationships can and will workout if the chemistry is correct and there is a strong 50/50 in the relationship. You don't always need to be physically around others... that's like saying that having friends on the internet is bogus because I can't physically be around them like the traditional way back in the 1970s.

Long distance can work if people eventually meet and spend time together. Online friendships could possibly exist without ever meeting but not romantic relationship. You need to spend time together. And you need to meet more than once. You can talk online until cows come home and be all giddy thinking you got some chemistry, but when they arrive with their suit cases, it might be entirely different story. You need more than chemistry to sustain relationships

Meeting and spending time together is paramount for relationships. But of course they can start as long distance. They just cannot stay long distance forever
Thanks for this!
