I had a lovely date (dinner + drinks) with a neighbor man I met, this past weekend (Sunday). We both agreed we wanted to do it again. I had a great time, and I don't know if it's the polite Southerner in me or what, but would it be weird to text and say I had a great time, being that it's Tuesday now?
It's been a while since I did this and it was always so game-ridden before, we are both in our 40s and not interested in weird messages or games. Am I mixing this up with job etiquette where you send a thank you note for the interview? I'm not trying to get attention with the text, I'd just like to let him know, again, that I had a good time and thank him again for the lovely evening. Is it weird to do that before we text about the next date?

I was going to say that it seems perfectly fine to send a text to say you had a nice time! I agree, who needs to play games.
