When I was a kid I’d get crushes on teachers not the other kids. Someone has to be about 11-20 years older for me to feel any mild attraction to them. I’m also Demisexual which means I’m only attracted to people I have a close emotional bond with. Which I guess is why I got crushes on teachers. One of my therapists was 11 years older then me and I found her to be very attractive. My last therapist was only 8 years older then me and although she was prettier then the last one I wasn’t attracted to her. I am mainly attracted to people in their 40’s.
I don’t get why I’m attracted to some people and not to others. Often people will do and say the exact same thing as the person I like and there’s no connection. I can’t even tell if these people I like are supposed to be attractive or not. I think I like peoples eyes and that’s what draws me in. But I don’t know. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with this. I just have a type and preference with everyone and everything.

I also don't think there is anything wrong with it. Our brains want what they want. The "why" is often an inscrutable mystery. Its not like we picked out our own brain before we were born. We have what we have. I don't see anything strange about being attracted to older people. Seems very normal to me.
