Hi everyone!

So, my last post was over two years ago, but I've been a member of PsychCentral for well over a decade. This used to be my home, my solace, and my place of peace for many years.

Till life happened. Finally, finally.

I had spent so many years on this forum, wishing, just wishing for something to change in my life and for something to happen to me for many years. I was stuck in this slump for all my years on this site.

Till I got married.

Then I got involved with drugs.

Then my mental health with drugs, alcohol, and pills sent my bipolar disorder into overdrive.

Then jail for 10 months - the worst experience of my life.

Now rehab - which isn't much better.

I am trapped, caught in a cycle of chaos that feels never-ending. My marriage is strong though. My husband and I have gone through Hell and back and we're finally making it through.

I just want the simplicity back I had, even though it was in a slump. Life is so complicated now, I don't know how I will survive. I am so far away from home now too.

All I am asking for is a little support, and maybe some hugs. Some of you old timers may remember me from back in the day - I am a huge sci-fi fan and we used to talk "Trek" all time.

I miss it here and I hope to reconnect with some old friends and perhaps make some new ones as I try and navigate this new set of circumstances I'm in.

Love yall!

Lady Shadow

Hugs Lady Shadow, that sounds hard. I am glad though that your marriage is strong. There's a rock to lean on. Don't give up. Keep pressing forward. HUGS kit

Hey, lady shadow. I’m also a great fan of Star Trek. The talk has died down in recent years though.

Hey there Kitty! Thanks so much for your hugs and kind words. It has been a hard road, but I am almost through it, and I am going to be stronger for it, I think. My husband is amazing and has been my rock through it, so I am very grateful for that - this would have been so much harder alone.

Hi Nammu! I kinda figured the Trek talk would die down. There hasn't been much going on in Trek world other than "Picard" and a couple of disappointing reboots and shows. If you have the Freevee App, (Which used to be IMDB) there is an amazing documentary on Deep Space Nine it's called "What we Left Behind, a look at Star Trek Deep Space Nine." Check it out!

Hang in there LadyShadow, what a journey you've been on, wow. Rehab is obviously the right place now and I'm sending you great support and positive energy, things can basically only go upwards from there. Good on you! There's plenty of support for you at rehab and in the 12 step meetings community as well. I've been there too.🙏

I remember we had quite a few conversations centering around spiritual matters, higher powers and higher beings etc, which was very cool.🙏 And I remember you alluding to the fact that things were about to get bad for you but you didn't expand on it. Then, that was it - we parted ways. But you're still alive, still here and still going. What a tremendous challenge you've been given wow.

Keep doing your recovery things obviously, and checking in here at MSF, LadyShadow - support and encouragement is everything. Sending yourself and husband great Peace.🕊️🕊️✌️✌️
