Hello all,
I'm just wondering if anyone else is without a significant other this Valentine's Day. My ex died unexpectedly on 7/1/06 of a "catastrophic heart attack"-he was only 49. I'm dealing with it but I do miss him terribly-I've moved on with my life-my former case mgr. wanted to have a dinner for us singles in the agency I'm a client with. They have a couples dinner with a NICE dinner-steak/shrimp, etc. and live entertainment. There's also a local Valentine's Dance but I'm not into that-most of the other attendees are MUCH younger than me-enough thatn I could be their Mom! (SOBERING THOUGHT)! My family exchanges gifts and I do with my best girlfriend -I just wanted to vent on this subject! I know GOd is my Spouse/Beloved and that helps get through the hard times! ocdchick .gif)

I think you should do something very special for yourself this Valentine's Day. Who else better to give a gift to than you?? Go for a make-over....go for a massage...go bowling...go to a movie....get some great body creams/oils that will rejuvenate yourself. My hubby is thousands of miles away from me and we have yet to spend one Valentine's Day together....we will...I know we will...but until then, I will do something special for me that day to take away some of the sting I feel with missing him.  sabby |

I am sorry to hear that he died. That is indeed crushing. But even if you are single for valentines day, some like to call it "singles awareness day". I have a husband but most of the time I was single on valentines day. It still seems like a lousy holiday to me.
