I get attached to the wrong people at the wrong times. It’s embarrassing.

I am probably the opposite. I never get attached & only at a distance when I know they are an ok person.

What makes you feel attached to people? Have you tried just observing people before you ever even consider becoming attached or "connecting"?

I don't NEED anyone in my life unless I KNOW they are good people. Problem these days it seems everyone pushes tolerance. I can tolerate at a distance. Tolerance does not = attachment & we don't have to be ok with everyone who comes into our lives. We have to know ourselves good enough to know whether someone deserves any attachment from us. Many times I personally feel that people who want to attach themselves to me are usually clingy & that keeps me from any attachment to them......just some food for thought. Happens more when we are not using our wise mind which is a combination of logic & emotion. Observing over 70 years of living, emotionally minded people seem to have more struggles with relationships. Life requires a good balance of logic & emotion
