Can any wives, husbands, or anyone else that wants to contribute feedback add anything to this list? I'm working on it, but have little so far.
What do you think? 1) Take responsibility for your disorder, ups, and downs 2) Be responsible with medications/FULL treatment 3) Accept mistakes, and own them, communicate this to spouse 4) Be as patient and understanding toward your own spouse as you'd like toward you. 5) Know when to give your spouse space, and understand why, and how difficult it can be for them to be married to someone with Bipolar Disorder |

Absolutely love the list! Both my children and my life would have been remarkably better if only my bipolar husband would have done the 5 things you posted. The other thing that I would add is allow your spouse and family to be involved with treatment because this disorder effects the entire family. And also, don't resort to covering up what you've done while cycleing with lies. Thanks for This : )
