so im in this relationship with this boy. i just so happen to be 17 and he is 21. iv been on and off with him for a while now but i think i love him, i don't know?? because iv never felt this way... yesterday my best friend told me to chose him or her. my relationship with her has been on and off too. it started when i got into drugs, and now that iv gotten caught by the police im done with it but my boy friend is one of the people i used to party with and do some drugs with.. but he's changed. its just she cant see that. She doesn't know him, she's never met him, and she doesn't want to. She's afraid that my parents are going to find out about us and that she's going to be left in the dust and having givin everything up for me, shes afraid she'll get hurt again. there is so much more to this story but i think people would get bored by it. So i was just wondering how do i chose.? between the man that i love and my only best friend????

You have to look a little further down the road. Where will you be when you are 25? Do you have a job? Does your boyfriend? Has he mentioned he loves you and done anything to show love and care for you? What do you want besides this friend or this man? You have to live your own life, it is not a choice between this man and your friend, it's what you are going to be doing by yourself in the future. You have to know and get along with yourself first before you can judge between men and friends. At 17 I wouldn't wander off toward a man yet to the exclusion of a friend because friends tend to stick around whereas people we think we love may or may not.

You'll probably have a lot more boyfriends than best friends. Best friends are hard to come by.

I..don`t understand...yeah fi i knew the whole story better..teh point is that you friend can`t limmit you, so can`t your boy friend.

I just don`t see why doesn your best friend interferes....what`s here business? Do you meet all together?

It`s important really how much you love your boy friend and your friend.

In the end...you make the chioce... I don`t know if it`s youe LIFE choice thgouh. People always come and go. Family stays. YOU stay.

Maybe this i can tell you - don`t do anything that will throw you off your mental balance.

- and be sure he is got OVER the drugs. If you don`t want to get into them again.
