I'm so sorry Kaika, that really sucks. I hope you can at least call your mom and talk to her.

I know how you feel. Plus, my stepchildren have said the same thing to me...

and deep down, I would much rather be with my real children instead of them (if I could have them.)

it isn't really a question od step vs biological for me, because I perfer time spent with my step dad to be honest (though i feel a little guilty saying that) it's just that although you can tell she is a very nice and sweet woman, there are just a few things about her that really hurt me/rub me the wrong way:

- opisite personality types: she's a very high strung person IMO. I'm just a very laid-back, easy going kind of person. The world wont end if you take your time, the world wont end if you're 5 minutes late (unless it's for work or school but that's a different thing entirely in my book) if something inconvient happens, just laugh a little shrug it off, say "oh well" and then move on/start over.

- she's more insecure and sensitive then ME: and trust me, that is certainly a feat. It's getting to the point were it's like "Geez, just take the compliment already!" or even better- "How many times do I have to say 'it's okay' or 'I love you' be fore you get it?!?" I'd be able to give you all plenty more examples, but that'd just be upsetting.

- She's just hard to please: it feels like whatever isn't her way of doing things is critisized until you just give in and do whatever she wants.

- Whenever she's cooking something she's totaly mean. Infact the reason I started this thread was because she exploded on me for both a.) getting a drink "too slowly" and b.) using a new bottle of tea because I couldn't see the old one in the back of the fridge.

And well, being a sensitive person such as myself, that's just was too much anger and stress to take in at once so I came in here, made the thread, and have been crying on and off. It's so little but man does it hurt when you're hyper-sensitive.
