Hey, Well about 4 months ago me and my best friend at the time got into a fight and i don't know why he was mad. Well we hadn't talked since than until he randomly called me at 3 in the morning crying and coming to me with a problem two days ago. We talked and i tried to cheer him up then he said thanks and hung up. We texted after and i tried to see if maybe we could be friends again and he said "Thanks for being a great person and it's nice to know your still there for me and i'll always be here for you if you ever need me but i'm not sure if we should be friends again". Well he also told me to talk to him tomorrow so i went to sleep and the next day i texted him and we talked for a few minutes i asked him if he's okay and he askd me if i was okay then he said he was dead tired from last night and he's gonna go back to sleep. Do you guys think theres any chance of me re-building this friendship and if there is can you give me any advice or is this just a lost cause?

Hi someone122 and Welcome to PC!
![]() I think that any relationship has it's ups and downs. Each relationship needs to be cultivated and cared for. Honesty and respect for one another is huge in helping the relationship continue and grow. I think it's up to the both of you to sit down and discuss your feelings and thoughts about the issue that split you up. It sounds like maybe you haven't both worked through the problem openly and it leaves you wondering if your friend is using you for support yet keeping you at arms length as a friend?? I believe that open communication will help you decide where your relationship will go from here. I wish you well and hope you get some answers soon. ![]() sabby |
