Hello Everyone
![]() I have a friend who has OCD. I have reached my threshold on what I am willing to deal with in regards to her OCD behaviors/condition. I have set boundaries with her as far as my study time goes. I sent an e-mail saying that I'd rather communicate via e-mail than phone because that's where I spend most of my time due to school work...etc. I haven't heard from her since I sent that e-mail. I feel lonely but a sense of relief that I don't have to "put up with" her OCD behaviors. Does anyone here have similar problems with ppl who have OCD? Any suggestions/comments/ideas are welcomed! ***I want to make it very clear that this is not suppose to be an offensive post on ppl who have OCD or know someone who has OCD*** I apologize in advance if I have hurt anyone's feelings. I can see what you mean. My friend, she has OCD. I think I have it too maybe. But.... I don't mind it in her. I actually find it attractive for some reason. lol.

i have OCD and i know it has been very hard on my husband, though he has been very patient and kind. (things are better now).
your friend may be feeling embarrassed. i've been really embarrassed and ashamed throughout. people tell me not to feel this way, it's not me it's my brain chemistry, etc. but all the stuff i put him through, i know from the outside it looks like silliness or selfishness, and that makes me think it is, even though i (partly) know better. anyway you're justified in distancing yourself, absolutely. |
