I am dating the most wonderful guy who has given me no reason to be paranoid yet I am. I hate to go blaming others, but all I can think about it how my ex-boyrfiend of 7 years really screwed with my head. I felt like he never really wanted me, simply becuase he really didn't most of the time. It was a relationship of convience. I know this is a different time and a different man but I'm always afraid the same thing is going to happen. I don't want my paranoia to ruin us. Should I try to work this out on my own or talk to him about it?

Allow yourself some time. Mostly if this is a new relationship. It's OK to be cautious, just don't over do it. You will heal.

It's been nearly 2 years since we broke up and I have been seeing this guy for 8 months. He's very into me and I know this. I just can't seem to find myself worthy of having a wonderful person and expect everyone to hurt me.

Then talk to him, and get help. It is sort of not fair to not trust him for what other did. But it is in our nature to protect our hearts.
GET HELP. "can't find myself worthy of having a wonderful person" tells a lot about where you are at.

Thanks. I'm currently on meds for depression but I don't know what I need to feel worthy. I hate being this way.

I can't talk to a therapist about anything other than my ED actaully. I can't seem to bring myself to share any other personal problems. The only reason I talk about the ED is cause I really don't want that to control me anymore.
