More Information

Antidepressant medications are used to treat a variety of conditions, including depression and other mental/mood disorders. These medications can help prevent suicidal thoughts/attempts and provide other benefits. However, studies have shown that a small number of people (especially children/teenages) who take antidepressants for any condition may experience worsening depression, other mental/mood symptoms, or suicidal thoughts/attempts. Therefore, it is very important to talk with a doctor about the risks and benefits of antidepressant medication, even if the treatment is not for a mental condition. Tell your doctor immediatley if you notice worsening depression, unusual behavior changes, (including possible suicidal thoughts/attempts), or other mental/mood changes. Be especially watchful for these symptoms when a new antidepressant is started or when the dose is changed.

CONS: could not tolerate had cardiac side effects heart racing & pounding dizziness

I was prescribed this several years ago for nerve pain. It did help with the pain & also relieved my depression. However I had severe racing heartbeat & pounding & it caused dizziness. I tried it two different times but couldn't tolerate the side effects.

PROS: Good strong antidepressant that works.
CONS: None

This is a powerful medication. The literature says the highest dosage is 150mg but the studies are old. My psychiatrist advised that he has used this medication as high as 300mg. I have paused at 200mg. At 6 weeks the side effects have almost completely dissolved and I am no longer suffering any symptoms of depression.

PROS: it works
CONS: none

I usually order prescribed drugs via americantrustpills (seriously, this place sucks) free of danger. The fact is that I use to take tons of it so low price is vital for me.

PROS: helped headaches
CONS: tiredness and twitching

It was hard work being on this med. Even a low dose caused extreme tiredness during the day, yet often caused my mind to race at night. My left eye, left part of my nose, and left side of my mouth also twitch constantly which just feels weird.

PROS: none for me
CONS: Do not drink with this med

Doc put me on this and it made me rage. I told her what it was doing to me and she told me to give it time. I ended up having a few beers with this med and that was a big no no. I freaked out and went crazy on my husband very angry, so bad that I am suprised I didn't get arrested. I told my doc again and she ended up on increasing this med. I did tell her that I have tried imiperime, and desimiperine that made me feel crazy. This med is in the same family as those. My mom and I thought the doctor was the crazy one. My mom said you need to stop taking this med and get a new doctor. Which I did, I quite the med and found a really good doctor!!!

PROS: No more Migranes
CONS: Took three days to get out of bed.

I'm on it for migraines and haven't had one since I started taking, I'm on 25 mg. It did knock me out for three days, but once my body adjusted to it I haven't had any side effects, and I'm not overly cheery, I'm still myself. I couldn't give you a price though because my insurance takes care of it.

PROS: clears brain fog and helps with depression
CONS: dry mouth

Dosing with this med is tricky. You really should have blood tests to see if you are in the therapeutic range.

PROS:
CONS: increased anxiety level, migraine pain, dizziness & nausea/lack of appetite

I was prescribed the brand name pamelor of this drug. I ended up not being able to take it for long because it ended up increasing my feelings of anxiety & continuing my feelings of nausea which increased my weight loss. Added to that came the migraine pain & dizziness which was an indication of it effecting my blood pressure level, causing the med to be discontinued soon after starting it.
