Maybe I can give someone a laugh…I'll share what happened to me today after I left my session.

I see my cbt T in my primary dr.'s clinic. The practice includes my T, many interns, nurses and doctors. In the hallway outside the clinic are the restrooms and I stopped there after my session and before going to work.

My sessions are first thing in the AM and sometimes one of the nurses will unlock the clinic and let me in.Some have come to recognize me.

So when I entered the ladies' , one of these nurses was fixing her hair at the mirrors. She said hi and hoped I was doing well, even gave me a hug. I thought that was the end of that conversation and I went into a stall. She kept talking to me (a pet peeve of mine, I don't talk and pee at the same time).

Couldn't believe what she said , "He's REAL easy on the eyes huh?"

We both bust out laughing because it doesn't need to be said who she is referring to (cbt t). Then she goes on and on, "He's a fine looking man, mnh-hmm" , then this gem, "You got a little man on the side eh?" --to which I answered "I wish". More laughter. I'm in tears laughing.

I knew my transference has been overwhelming, it was nice to openly admit it to another person. I've seen some of the nurses titter and giggle interacting with him, it hadn't occurred to me that those ladies that work with him every day had the hots for him too.

That is funny! Thank you for sharing. One of my friends met with my T, and the first thing she said when she called to tell me about it was, "You were NOT kidding. He is CUTE!"

My female T once asked me when I first started seeing her about my p doc: "Is Dr. ___cute? " I said, "Um, yeah...Really cute!" She just cocked her head to the side and said "Really??? I don't see it, maybe it's because I'm a lesbian and I can't tell". He was newer then so he must have been the talk of the office, since none of the other men are remotely attractive.

When I showed 2 of my friends his match.com profile, they both said, "HE is your psychiatrist??? No wonder you have a crush. I would never be able to sit across from that man for a full session!"
