I know right??? We have a lot of mutual friends. We live in a very small community that is pretty isolated. One of our mutual friends let a little info slip and I put two and two together. I wasn't positive...until I found it.

Honestly I feel bad for your therapist. So it's widely known that she worked in porn (even if once)?
Also don't you think you'll feel weird after it if you watch that movie? I'd never be able to see her the same way again honestly.
Finally and that's just me but I'd find it degrading to watch her: your T wasn't forced into it but still it's super intimate. I don't know.

You hit the bullseye on my internal struggle. I keep thinking about how she would feel if she knew that I watched it. And what would it do to our therapeutic relationship. It wouldn't be good for me at all. And I have so much respect for her that I don't want to do something that would hurt her. Even if she never knows. But it's still driving me crazy and I wish I never found out.

Not sure how widely known it is. This friend doesn't know that I am a client of my T. They went to college together. And she didn't even say her name but she said enough for me to figure out who she was talking about.

Well honestly if I found out one of my T's did a porno, I would be interested. I know a lot of dancers who put themselves through school working at gentleman's clubs. I have a friend who is a T and is into burlesque with all of her T friends. I am sorry that this is a struggle for you, if she doesn't know that you know don't ever let on that you do. Also don't treat her or judge her any differently. People do lots of things to get through school, it is an expensive proposition to go to school. I have heard of people selling drugs to put themselves through college and they made more money, but wanted to be legit.

She did, and I did - I felt her technique was rather poor and was able to make some suggestions from my vast experience - it was good to help someone who helps me.

I would definitely be curious and watch it. I think something like that would just make me feel more comfortable with him (which I already am quite a lot), getting to know another aspect of his life.

I would most likely watch it despite the possible consequence of possibly thinking about that in session not to mention my face turning red and trying to hold back a grin... as if ET isn't difficult enough to deal with.

the thought of my T doing a porn is seriously laughable. like it would never happen. but, if he had done a porn i would not watch it.

I don't think I would watch it, if only because porn in general is very bothersome to me. Most of it seems very exploitive of women and the way it treats sex as a subject — well that's another thread, I guess. (Some of it is better than other, so I'm told.)

I don't judge people who enjoy it and I certainly don't judge those who perform. I have friends who are/have been sex workers. These women ofent get a bad wrap in a very misunderstood industry. There are plenty of people who work in that industry who are the most self-aware, feminist, sex-positive, strong women I've ever known. I would completely trust them to go onto other more 'acceptable' jobs or into psychology.

I've actually wondered what it would be like if I found out something like this about my own T. I think I wouldn't mind knowing that about her. I would be very curious to know her story and yes, probably secretly turned on by the thought of picturing her in any sexual situation.

I wouldn't necessarily assume that this is something someone should be ashamed of. It would merit a conversation about sex. I'm a bit shy about talking about sex in general. So I would have treat this as a catalyst to talk about a subject I find difficult to talk about. If I knew she was confidant and unashamed about it all- then it would probably help facilitate that conversation.
