i really just need to say this because i have nobody else to say it to.
WHY would he say "i do this out of love" (referring to what? i honestly don't remember), and then say "you're the best therapeutic relationship i have", ALL WITHIN THE SAME 10 MINUTES? like WHAT. he's been throwing around the L word recently which is probably just another stupid thing i'm reading into too much, but it really annoyed me that he said "therapeutic relationship" literally right after. he's been the absolute king of mixed messages and games for years, which, let's be real here, i enjoy(ed), but sometimes i'm just like...shut up. and by shut up i mean "tell me explicitly, out loud, without metaphors or philosophical speech, how you feel about me...just once!" i know this sounds bad. and it probably is. i'm working on it. but i just needed to put this out in the universe.

I can relate to the ambiguity, the withholding of true feelings, and the manipulation.
All of this is rationalized as therapeutic technique and boundary setting. But I found it sadistic and perverse. |

Therapists with poor boundaries are awful. So damaging. Just awful. They should know better.
