Hello and Welcome Everyone to Psych Central!

We're glad you are here and we hope you find the support and information you are looking for.

We understand that being new to a forum such as this it's hard to know and/or remember all the guidelines for posting. We would like to gently remind all new members (and long term ones as well ) that if we are posting anything that could possibly be triggering to please use the trigger icon.

I have used the trigger icon on this thread so you can all see what it looks like. Below the box where you are typing your message is a box with Post Icons where you will find the trigger icon.

Now, triggering material can be anything from abuse/death/suicide/etc. It's impossible for us to know all the triggers of all the people....rule of thumb, when in doubt, use the trigger icon just to be on the safe side

Of course, if you have any questions at all, please feel free to pm a team member (mod or admin) and we'll be very happy to help you! Again, thanks for joining PC and we hope to see you on the forums!

All the best,
_sabby_
co-administrator

An interesting article on What Is a Trigger?

Just as a continuation on _sabby_'s post, this may be a good resource for determining what is, and is not, necessarily a "trigger". Many thanks to Fool_Zero for finding this article!
