I have a good friend whom I haven't heard from since Saturday afternoon. Because she is living in a shelter, they cannot confirm or deny whether she is still there, and I cannot go up there to find out. She was recently discharged from the psych ward, and is about to run out of meds. She can't get in to see the pdoc until July. She is also a recovering alcoholic. I am so worried that she has relapsed or something. I don't know what to do besides pray and ask others to pray too. I call her phone and leave a message everyday, so she knows that I am worried. I would just love to have a call back saying she is ok.

I will be praying for you and your friend. Also, praying she returns your phone calls.

My friend called me tonight!!! Turns out she had a minor relapse with alcohol on Saturday night, busted her head, and ended up in the hospital with stitches and pancreitis. Now is back at the psych ward to get her meds worked out. I am so thankful that she called and is safe. I know prayer had a big part in it. Thank you all for praying.

I am hoping to be able to go see her soon. Just have to pray that I will be allowed on the unit. There is a waiting period for ex-patients to visit other patients, so we are hoping that they will let me through.

Great news! Prayer works. I'll pray that you are able to visit your friend and also for her recovery.
