My license has been issued, and so now my case worker is supposed to call me next week and let me know when I get the word about a girl coming into the house. I am SO excited!!! I need direction as to whether get a crib...I kind of mentioned to Beth that I would like an infant...but whomever God has in mind for our home is ok with me...but I just need to know if I need to get a bunk bed or if I need to get a crib and mattress. if the child is older, she can sleep in Myriam's bed and temporarily Myriam can sleep with me until i get a bunk bed...and mattress for the bottom...so lots to pray with me about...so that i will be ready when the day comes...i will be so nervous when she comes through our door...pray....pray...pray...

congratulations !!!!!! Whomever comes into your life will be a very lucky person. I bet that you will be held in great wonderful light when the soul you are to foster comes into your life. Having said that, I would be honored to pray for you.
I think that it is very normal to be frightened of this. Just as a new parent would be frightened. But I think you will be a great foster parent. Again, congratulations !!!!! |

My kids fostered to adopt so I give you kudos. They found it very challenging and rewarding. They adopted 2 siblings a few years ago.
Your case worker should be able to advise you on what kind of bed and maybe supplies you need to keep on hand as some kids may come without any extra clothing. Prayers for you and your family..

Thanks for all the prayers...
am still waiting for my caseworker to call and say come pick up your little one...if it is a baby...i have the diaper bag packed except I don't have diapers yet...so maybe that means the baby will be a little older perhaps...or will be getting a toddler or up to a 5 year old...oh my...so many things to keep straight in my head...I went to the dollar store yesterday, got a hat, matching mittens and scarf, and also bought a spiral notebook to keep daily notes on her...so I am all set...just need the girl... the longer i wait the more anxious i become...LOL...im nesting all over again...what a happy place to be...it's gonna be good all the way around...
