I lost my dad to liver cancer this past Wednesday. With this and my mom being gone for over a year, I feel alone even when I'm with friends and family. Just keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I go through with this grieving process yet again.

I am truely sorry to hear of your loss. That is a lot to grieve and will take time for you to find peace with. Your mom and dad have found each other in heaven and I am sure they are watching over you.

I'm so sorry, Fharraige. I know quite well what losing a loved parent can be like. My prayers go out to you and to your dad, who I'm sure is in a far better place right now. Take care.

Oh so sad. It's so common for a spouse to pass within a year after their mate passes. I had a a tough time keeping my mom going after my dad died... but alas.. .she's gone now too. It's really different... not having parents, you know?

One foot in front of the other. It takes time, but the steps become less bogged down as we go.

Fharraige,

I know that this thread was written a while ago, but I just wanted to say that I am very sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one (especially a parent) can be very difficult. Give yourself time to grieve. Please try to look at it this way for me - he is no longer suffering and is free now. Give yourself time to overcome what happened. You will never forget it, but it will feel better, trust me. You'll start thinking of the good times you spent with him and his memory will bring along smiles.

Very sorry for your loss,
Burning Aroma
