Ever thought like this?

Ever thought about how God made life? Why did he have to make hell and sin? Why doesn't he make everyone happy? Why doesn't he fix everything? He could fix all lives troubles in a blink.. But he doesn't. I guess maybe its our fault because we've sinned... But still. WHY DOES LIFE HAVE TO BE LIKE THIS?!

Maybe all these apparent contradictions tell you something about the assumptions you start with?

God DOES make everyone happy -- when we're born, we're not sad. It's consequences & situations, and such that make us sad. It's people and givernment and circumstances that trip us up. lol

He doesn't fix things cause He gave us this world for US to take care of. He doesn't intervene in things. We're on our own here. And He is NOT punishing us for our sins!!! Things are the way they are because we MADE them that way. We did it thru bad laws, bad politicians, crime, pollution, unemployment, jobs sent overseas, and a multitude of other reasons! But God is NOT punishing us. We'll find out what our punishment is when we die.

God loves you and forgives you for your sins. Don't blame Him for the world's problems. He's not to blame. God bless and take care. Hugs , Lee

When I say "we" I don't mean We as in you and me, I mean "MAN" made them that way. No you and I don't make things hard for ourselves --- but man as a WHOLE has made this world a difficult place to live! Man has made wars, and bombs, and bigotry, and a host of other horrible things. You and I didn't do it. And we didn't choose to be sick either.

I agree with another poster about checking your thoughts out first. Maybe you're approaching this from the wrong angle? For example..

I don't believe God made hell and sin. I think us humans have become blinkered...perhaps due to parenting, society or culture...and lost the ability to feel joy and happiness because of the conditioning and experiences we have.

God might not fix everything because we were given free will? Or perhaps there is a purpose to this life. Bear in mind how short our life spans really are. Maybe humans are evolving (I don't see evolution as being separate from spirituality) and they need to find their own way. If God stepped in and sorted it out all, what would we learn?

Also, would we know and appreciate light if we didn't know dark? This is a world of duality and that's a fact. I don't think we are 'bad' it's simply the way it is. We have a choice. We all have a choice. We can't expect some Higher Power to appear and sort everything out. Perhaps we are guided but also, like children, sometimes we need to find our own way.

I agree with most of what you said besides when you said he doesn't intervene. He does, but on his time. He will heal us all in due time. For some, healing comes when they die and they go to heaven.

You're right Jeremy -- He does intervene in His own way -- and in His own time. I guess I should have made that clear as I was thinking in terms of huge crises, i.e. wars, etc. He doesn't stop them immediately, etc. But you're right -- and as far as healing, you're right too -- He'll "heal" us too, either on earth or in heaven.
