It's really up to you.
Some people just do 15 minutes in a day and some people do a few hours for spiritual reasons. There's no consensus on how much is appropriate. |

I do meditation depending where I am at. I like to meditate more when outdoors at Spirit Mountain. Less when I am indoors.

15 minutes a day is normal, you have to try and keep it up though! Regularity is very important.

"Normal" is subjective when it comes to meditation. Like everyone says, you can strive for 15 minutes, but if that becomes too much, shoot for 5.
The important amount of time to remember is ... whatever is comfortable. Don't worry about watching a clock unless you have to be somewhere. If you're having a particularly good day, maybe you meditate for 30 minutes. The next day you might only get 7. |

It depends on the person and the kind of mediation!
