First I hope I don't say anything I'm not supposed to, if I do I apologize. New at this....

I try to understand why things have happened the way they have, and yes I get angry with God. I have not been able to breathe for 16 years. They say he doesn't give us more than we can handle right? I'm not so sure anymore. What did I do to deserve this? I failed Him somewhere and have lost almost every blessing I had. I think I'm getting blessings but they are always taken away or I mess them up. They say we reap what we sow. I know so many people that get blessing after blessing and have done horrible things. My step father, for instance hasn't had consequences for all he did to me and what he caused. He has escaped consequences and still as he did before goes to church and prays. He still gets blessings. I have heard that God will welcome anyone back, no matter the sin, forgive them and bless them. That kind of makes me angry, because He doesnt do that anymore in my life. I went through so much and it continues. I've made mistakes of course, some big ones, but the consequences seemed extremely harsh for those mistakes and I had to bear the pain of others mistakes plus my own. I need mercy. I'm tired of being so miserable. Every time I was struck down and got back up, I was struck again. Right now things can't be fixed, at least not any time soon, I try to have faith and was feeling a little hopeful earlier but was told, I have to have the rest of my teeth pulled (15) and get dentures. I just turned 27. Im in so much pain. I took care of them but treatment I had has caused them to decay beyond repair. I'm extremely depressed and not having much faith, have in the past, but not now. I am back to giving up on life and faith. They say there is power in prayer, so if anyone would pray for me, I'd greatly appreciate it. Not just the phrase, but actually intercede. Thank you

Ok...breathe. Sigh. Dentures can be a real pain...can you get implants instead? (I have veneers on my teeth due to my industrial accident all my teeth were worn "away"... and some I have crowns on because they flat out broke... so I do understand the hassle of not having your own "good" teeth.)

Count your blessings...don't "But.." them... (still have to be mindful of this myself, daily!~)

DO NOT compare! (I always get into trouble with God and my feelings about God etc whenever I begin to compare ANY thing about my life with someone else's.)

God is here even if / when we do not sense Him...

Thank Him for each blessing you find...and if you have trouble keeping track (or need to refer back to something to remind you) write them down in a booklet or online diary.

You've heard sugar draws more flies than vinegar? Well, in no way is God's blessings flies...but you will find you will have and SEE more blessings if you praise God and thank Him for what you do receive. (I guess it's part of becoming content for where we are now, rather than complaining ...)

IMO, people get confused between god and santa claus. People pray in hopes of getting gifts somehow. It doesn't work like that, instead we live our lives and face all kinds of challenges, if someone does something bad and seems to make gains or escape punishment, that never means that person is being blessed by God you know. Believe me, that person will have that on their life file for eternity, especially if they don't make amends, eternity is a long time.

God is there for us to help us through our challenges but it is in a more spiritual way. We become more blessed as we open our mind, and become more spiritual in spite of the challenges that is put in our life path.

It's been taught that material things require a lot of caretaking, even can drain us on a spiritual level. The truth is that there are many people who have amassed a lot of material things, even wealth, however often many of these people are still deeply struggling on a spiritual level.

When people allow themselves to get trapped into some kind of competition over who owns more material things and who has more wealth, they are allowing themselves to lose spirituality. People who instead maintain their spirituality first, have a much better quality of life overall. And that is why we pray and open our hearts to God, because in so doing, we open ourselves up to developing healthier spirituality. As we do that, we can begin to see new doors open where other doors have been closed.

Brancile, I have had a lot of bad things happen to me in my life too. I have been a lost soul many times, but the one thing that did help me was prayer, and doing my best to maintain my spirituality and faith in God. It was not always easy either but as I look back, I don't think I would have managed without it.

Thank you greatly for that. No I cannot get implants and can't afford dentures but I have been blessed with a dentist who is willing to work with me on payment when it's a policy here to pay up front or with a medical credit card. But you are so right I shouldn't 'but them'. God has allowed me to see another day. I praise Him in this moment, for what I do have because it's more than some have. God has been speaking through others and situations, to a point I get creeped out sometimes, that he has not given up on me. Thank you

Thank you that brought tears to my eyes. I need to stop making it about me so much. He doesn't owe me anything, but still offers me mercy and blessings. I believe the blessings will come as my heart continues to change and soften.

i will pray for you. it might be a really good idea to get a second opinion with another dentist about having your teeth pulled. that is always wise to do if you are having any surgery. if you want to try healing prayer then you can always go to a healing room or an ihop for prayer. there really isn't anything to lose by trying it.
