My best friend in high school "gave me" this Psalm one day when I was particularly down and it's one of the best things I've ever gotten. I still get goosebumps when I read it. I hope those of you that read it get at least a little of what it means to me. It's Psalm 13. The whole thing is only 6 verses.
1 How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? 2 How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and every day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me? 3 Look on me and answer, O Lord my God. Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death 4 My enemy will say, "I have overcome him," and my foes will rejoice when I fall. 5 But I trust in your unfailing love; My heart rejoices in your salvation. 6 I will sing to the Lord, For he has been good to me. I hope it touched you the way it touches me. I love the Bible. I get so much strength from God's word. I'm always here for anyone who wants to chat! Nicole

A wonderful psalm!! Remembering God's unfailing love, even when we're in the darkest part of the pit, makes everything just a little easier to bear and keeps us moving forward. We know we can because we know He's there with us, urging us forward!

amen ... this is a great scripture to remember..I guess knowing God is always there, no matter what, the good times and the bad times encourages us.. Makes me think of the song by Lynda Randle - God On The Mountain..

...and not "only" that He is there... but that He IS GOD.

If my Lord & Savior did all that 4 me I guess i should remember that in the not so good times.

Greetings, Nichole,
Thank you for sharing this with us. Happy Birthday, dear Lord! You are the greatest Gift, ever. In the middle of the night...in the darkness You came. And Your Light shone all around. Patti
