Happy Tuesday,
After noticing a pattern of outcomes in my life, I would like to do a spiritual cleanse. I'm not sure if something is blocking me from having the best possible outcome. Or is it in fact me who is sabotaging relationships, efforts, ideas in my own life? I figure if I attempt this at least I will do something working towards an introspective solution. I'm exhausted from rejection from so many people in my life. I'm starting to feel lonely. I fast and prayer perhaps once a year and it has proven to beneficial to rebalance my life.
So my question is, " how do I do a spiritual cleanse?". What are some realistic outcomes from the process? If possible, share some of your personal experiences if you've done a spiritual cleanse before.
Thanks!

I'm not sure, but maybe someone will come along who is familiar with this process.

Hi White Clouds,
A spiritual cleanse sounds like a great idea. You've inspired me to think of doing one. Here are some of my ideas.

Light a candle and say a prayer. Maybe use sage or inscence. A white candle for a clean spirit. Maybe write my own prayer asking for help.

Use a creative visualization on chakras from YouTube there's a lot on there to choose from. I've enjoyed them and some of the meditation ones too.

I also like going to the local labrynith and walk it thinking of releasing and healing my issues.

If you do movement with your prayer I have found it sinks in better. I stand and face the rising sun and stretch my arms high and greet the new day, say some positive affirmations to myself, and cross my arms across my chest and hug myself. Then bow my head and pray. The moving just makes it feel more real to me.

Good luck! I'm hopeful your cleanse will benefit you greatly.

Dear WhiteClouds: thanks for your post - I also have been thinking about this very strongly for a while! Glad for the input here, as I have no idea where to start.

I am assuming the cleanse is something one constructs for oneself, that has personal meaning for someone and their spirituality. But I was also hoping for some kind of template, or to learn if there were any traditions for doing a cleanse. As a former Catholic, I still find tradition comforting (I can't remember much of it...)

If you come up with something satisfying for you, I hope you will share your thoughts about it, how it ultimately made you feel. Apologize if this is too personal to ask, or if I am too intrusive.

Take care - Bolivar

A common way for people to omit negative energy, or blocks, or anything else from their lives, is to write down whatever the problem is on a piece of paper, or alternately write down the things you would like to see manifest in your life, and then burn it. Whenever I do it I include it as part of a larger ritual: creating sacred space, offering prayers or meditating, lighting a candle, etc. But really it is up to you.
The other thing to do would be to examine what beliefs you have about spirit, and create a releasing ritual of your own. After all, a thing has more power if it has personal meaning to you.
Good luck.

i think you've got the right idea with prayer & fasting. a few years ago God led me to do the daniel fast. it was very powerful. you can do it for as few or as many days as you like. i think i did it about 10 days total but had a break in between. i was only going to do 5 days, thought i was done and then felt God wanted me to do 10 days so started back up.

daniel fast info (you don't need to buy a thing to do it either)

Food Fasting can for some people be physically and emotionally risky if you have a condition like hypoglycemia or diabetes. Even the brain function can diminish if it does not get protein.
Meditation is a fasting in itself from the world of thoughts and ideas and planning things to do. Sometimes what I will do on a day I do not work is start out meditating and doing yoga or tai chi and not eat until lunch time. This gives me more sensitivity but it does not create a massive anxiety attack for lack of food.
Another type of fast is a habit fast. Suppose I love to tell all the latest gossip ( I don't have any now) and so i decide to fast from it. When the impulse to gossip comes up I say no I am fasting from gossiping and try to reconnect with my breathing. Arguing or getting angry can be things I fast from. I may slip but I start again right where I am. If I mess up again I just start again. There is no judgment for failure. That is what the path to success is littered with.

I really like this idea and think its something I may want to try. If you've started I would like to know your experience and if it helped.

i'm a great believer in spiritual cleansing through the use of nature. I own many different crystals which i believe help me, if you research certain ones to wear or decorate your house with they sometimes help. Of course to some people this sounds absolutely crazy but i like it also, if you have some alone time and take a walk to somewhere completely natural like a river or a forest and just stay there with your thoughts, often yourself is the only person who can really figure out what you need to do
