There was an old man with a very big mansion. It was snowing hard that night so he built a very big warm fire...everything was pleasant and warm and he sat down in a comfy chair to drink some tea. All of a sudden there was a knock at the door. The old man thought "Who would be knocking at this time of night!" So he got up and hurried to the door opened it and saw..nothing. It was snowing like usual and windy but no body was there. The old man shrugged thinking hmm weird...so he went to sit back down and all of sudden there was a knock at the door...he got up again and answered it...again nobody was there. So he shut the door and sat down again. All of sudden the door knocked AGAIN ...he was kinda upset by now who would be knocking on his door all those times in such a blizzard? He opened it this time and there he saw something on his front lawn. A flock of little red birds all huddling in the wind. They were definitly looking cold and hungry and just really suffering. The man felt enormous pity for these animals and he realized how warm and big his mansion was..he thought if i could have the birds come in my home they wouldnt die!! So he went outside and tried to get them in his home but they all flew away. He was very upset and dissapointed. The birds got scared because they didnt know humans...couldnt understand him, couldnt speak his language thats why. The man thought ...if i could change myself into a bird id tell them to go into the house to save them...they would trust me and understand me. They would follow me and they would be safe, happy and warm and well fed. I would protect them.
Thats like God. He has a home for us...to protect us. But he knew we wouldnt trust someone we couldnt communicate with...understand...so he made his son, Jesus, human to help us understand his will and to help us into his home. And thats why God made Jesus human.
