So for the past 5 or 6 months i Have been having extremely bad headaches. I went into the doctor ans he told me that I have a clump of cancerous cells in the left frontal tube in my brain. I am doing oral chemotherapy for a month, and that should kill off the cells, but If it doesn't work, then we will have to start invasive chemo. I'm hoping that won't be the case. I need your prayers or good vibes or whatever you believe in. Thank you

katelyn, sorry you are facing a health challenge but you are not alone. I am pulling for you. The greatest resource of all is our own inner self that has a timeless outlook on things. Every day in meditation ask to meet this inner self.

UPDATE: I have been put on a much more aggressive form of chemotherapy. My hair will fall out and I will feel symptoms similar to morning sickness (nausea, throwing up, sensitivity to light, dizziness) My therapist suggested a group therapy that is held at the hospital every Wednesday for teen cancer patients such as myself. I can feel myself getting sicker as the days go on. It suck knowing that a clump in my brain is destroying me as we speak. Wish I could just scoop it out or something.

Oooooo please do go to the group!

Sweetheart... cancer research shows that a positive mind set improves your health, and can contribute to healing.

Current neuroscience indicates that the brain has no opinion of it's own and creates the chemicals we THINK it to create... so get MS Pacman busy eating up those cancer cells!
Each negative thought we (as humans) think creates or adds to a negative "tree" in our brains and are toxic, killing the brain. BUT the good news is we have at least 30 seconds to change that negative thought to a positive one and give health to the brain!

Thinking positive, self affirmations, and yes, even calling on God ==your higher power== and believing in healing will help.

I in no way am minimizing what horrible things you may have to endure to heal...but don't think about how sick you may feel... look forward to this being a battle your body is fighting and you are feeling some of that battle... and give your good guys power to win!

I know personally hundreds (yep) of people who have healed from cancer... some miraculously... the spiritual aspect is every bit a part of us, in every cell... now turn that spirituality into your war machine and go win!!!

I really appreciate your advice and encouragement. It's just really hard to have a positive mindset when you wake up everyday knowing that a clump of cells are eating away at your brain and causing extreme pain. I really do appreciate all your help though, I will be attending the group therapy. The next meeting is next Wednesday.

Ok I hear ya!
Try changing that thought immediately upon waking... picture Ms Pacman or the yellow smiley face or michellin man or a zombie... eating up those cancerous cells... and reducing pain. Picture swordsmen/women battling back the cancer cells from the brain matter... whatever works for you---it DOES help!

I used to "have" in my mind skinny scrawny oompa loompas wandering around and so I "fattened" them up eating the pain! Another time I had an image of the pain being corralled into a soundproof, escape-proof rom and closing and locking the big door on them.

Pain IS all in the head. (without our brains interpreting it, we would not feel pain) That being said, it is "real." Unfortunately. But with skill-building you can lessen it, truly... it's worth keeping at it.

Yes! Group might be tough, but it will help.
